my diary

Art book

Creative direction , Art direction , Design , Artwork

The illustrated diary I kept during my days in the UK gradually transformed into a more profound record of illness after my experience with cancer. What began as simple reflections on everyday moments and passing scenery evolved, through the journey of treatment, into a narrative shaped by a shifting sense of “living” and the passage of time.Originally presented as my graduation project at the Royal College of Art, the book received strong recognition and was later published in 2008 as a graphic novel by Jonathan Cape / Random House, one of the UK’s most prestigious publishers.Although rooted in personal experience, the work touches on universal themes such as life and death, the connection between mind and body, and the intersection of the everyday and the extraordinary.
