I created the logo illustration for UNHAIR by Shiomi H, a hair salon located in Kobe. Inspired by the owner’s wish to “support each customer in taking a new step forward,” I expressed both a “step forward” and the initials S.H. through stroke drawings that evoke the flow of hair. Hair is the most essential element of a salon, and its movement, texture, and natural flow reflect each person’s individuality and beauty. The soft, organic lines and gentle curves incorporated into the design convey not only that sense of natural beauty but also a wish for things to move smoothly and positively for those who visit the salon.
