I created the frontispiece and interior illustrations for a series of short stories by novelist Tomoka Shibasaki, published in papyrus, a literary magazine by Gentosha.Across five instalments, I produced artwork that responded to the atmosphere and emotional tone of each narrative.The illustrations reflect the quiet poignancy found in everyday moments and the subtle perspectives that evoke readers’ own memories and experiences. By visually complementing the narrative world, the works were designed to deepen the lingering resonance of the stories for the reader.
