Daimaru Kobe Store

4F Rest gallery artwork

Creative direction , Art direction , Design

For the “rest gallery” space at Daimaru Kobe, I created an artwork featuring hydrangeas, the official flower of Kobe, and camellias, the city’s designated tree. The piece portrays two women adorned with these motifs, relaxing into a gentle atmosphere and enjoying a light-hearted conversation. Through their presence, I sought to express the refined softness that characterizes Kobe. Inspired by the calm hues of blossoms and foliage and the warmth of an afternoon moment, the work was designed to offer visitors a quiet sense of relief, creating a space where they can pause, step away from the noise of daily life, and breathe a little more comfortably.
