Package design for THE SHIBUYA SOUVENIR STORE inside Shibuya MIYASHITA PARK.As part of the “Shibuya Limited Editions” project, artists representing Shibuya were invited to express what “Shibuya-like” means to them and to envision future local specialties. Within this initiative, I designed the packaging for “Nama Choco Mochi,” produced by Koeido Takeda in Okayama.The design depicts the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing, illustrated with lively, distinctive girls drawn in a light and pop style. Each character stands out in her own way while still harmonizing with the surrounding scene. I hoped the packaging would remind people of Shibuya’s energetic atmosphere and sense of freedom even after they have enjoyed the sweets.
